Your guests trust you. You can trust us.
Odo makes digital invitations for hosts in Ghana and abroad. This page explains what personal data we hold, why, and for how long, in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
What we collect
- Hosts: your name, phone, email and the event details you give us.
- Guests: the names and phone numbers the host provides, plus RSVP answers, dietary notes, wishes and check-in times.
- Visits: simple, anonymous counts of invitation opens. No advertising trackers.
Why we use it
Only to run the host’s event: to send invitations and reminders by SMS, collect RSVPs, show the host their guest list and check guests in. We never sell data or use it for marketing.
Who sees it
The host and their chosen helpers (for example ushers). Our SMS provider receives phone numbers and messages only to deliver them. Gift payments go directly from guests to the host; we never handle money or card details.
How long we keep it
Guest details are deleted automatically 6 months after the last event. Hosts can ask us to export or delete their data, or any single guest’s, at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Guests can also ask the host, who can ask us.
Security
Invitations are hidden from search engines, each guest has a personal link, admin access needs two-factor sign-in, and everything is served over HTTPS.
